Restaurant & Retail

Angeli Mare

Marina Del Rey

This restaurant was integrated into a nondescript mini mall utilizing a design that distinguishes the new space from the existing. The restaurant was designed by architect Michele Saee and includes an entry area, dining room, bar, kitchen, and separate pizza kitchen. This project features high end materials fine woodworking that makes it stand. This project has been published and has received acclaim from various major design publications.

Nicola

Downtown Los Angeles

This restaurant was designed by architect Michael Rotondi for chef Larry Nicola. The 3,500 square foot space features a stylized forest of springy steel and blond wood ribs that define the dining area and adjoining terrace. Metal ribs extend from the barrier over the dining room terrace, creating a distinct sense of space within the six-story atrium lobby.

Ecru

Marina Del Rey

Designed by architect Michele Saee, this clothing store includes many forms inspired by Indian sculpture as well as ship making. Creating the challenging curves and contours out of plywood required a great deal of skill and effort, as well as many prototype templates. The interior features eight foot ball pivoting mirrors and a cantilevered sales counter. The exterior includes a pivoting glass door with a steel handle, and large storefront windows that were designed to resemble a car windshield.

Nic's

Beverly Hills

This was the second restaurant Rotondi Construction built for Chef Larry Nicola. Unlike Nicola's downtown, this project has a simpler design while maintaining the same level of elegance. Designed by architect Tony Unruh, this 5,000 square foot restaurant includes two separate dining areas as well as a bar. There were two kitchens that needed to be reconfigured and updated equipment. The conditions of the project before construction posed a lot of issues, but the project was completed on schedule on budget.

Construction of 4,800 square foot commissary in an old studio warehouse. The commissary was designed by architect Eric Rosen and includes a restaurant, take out bar, catering facility, and meeting rooms. Even with a unique architectural design, Rotondi Construction was able to maintain the character of the old building in the new construction. The old truss and metal ceiling was kept by building a roof system completely separate from the old. The project also features a 2,000 square foot storage facility for catering.
